Dahlia Flower Bouquet Building Set

This review is for the Soolio Violet Silence Flower Bouquet Building Set. This is my second Soolio flower building set. There is a full parts list at the back of the manual but it doesn’t seem to be broken down by the individual bags. The pieces came in bags labelled by number corresponding to the instructions the flower you are building. Everything was crammed into the box that seemed too small, so that the instruction manual was crumpled up. The bags unfortunately are not resealable so I ended up putting them in plastic containers as I working on them. There are lots of small parts that are easy to misplace especially if you are slowly working on them as I was.

I felt the instructions could be clearer but then I am someone who likes instructions with words and not just pictures. Since this product is aimed at adults, it would have been nice if the pictures were a little bigger. Sometimes the part or exact placement wasn’t clear. In some instances though, they showed a 1:1 picture of the piece so that was very helpful. Assembly wasn’t difficult but I had to fuss with some of the petals to get them to fit in the right place. This is where the instructions could have been more helpful. You have to be careful when putting them together as the parts come off very easily. As I went along, I figured out better ways of putting them together. Sometimes that meant not building them in the order listed.

The end result is very pretty and I had hours of fun putting them together.

My co-worker loved it! A plant that can't die for those with the touch of death for anything living.

Exactly what we ordered

Like most flower build sets, this comes with easy to follow instructions split by bags holding enough to make a few flowers each so you can parcel the building time out as needed, and enough (and a few extras) pieces to get things together. Some of the flower snaps can be a bit finicky and fall off when handled, but they're easy enough to snap back into place when it does happen. The stems come long enough to adjust lengths for, and this doesn't come with a vase, you have to have one of your own.

I do love the variety of colors (within the purple/black range) and style of flower this set has, they're great together and work nicely as accents to build your own bouquets if like me you have multiple sets of these. This one was actually a nice addition as there's no repeats in style of flower or color to the other sets we've accumulated over the couple of years we took up making them. They're great for year-round decor that doesn't need watering or replacing, and are cat-safe!

This was a relaxing and fun build with a really nice and unique end result. The final floral arrangement looks elegant, even though it has more a gothic colour scheme and vibe. It also makes for a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves a mysterious, dark aesthetic.
